Dont judge a book by it’s cover. So it is with judging an unlit candle. I’m a Norwegian that is in love with American candle culture, and everything you celebrate. Especially Christmas. I purchased this candle knowing Kringle really saturates the candle with scent and knows how to layer them.
My first sniff was a surprise. I could swear there was a sour hint of wet wool in the mix, but why? But I quickly concluded it was the realism of sappy spruce. A christmas tree so freshly cut that the heat from the fire made the whole living room smell like a pine forest.
But there was more layers! Cloves, sugared treats, liqueur, smoke from the candles and the fireplace and even the glistening gift wraps! It was a dimension of christmas.
Then when I lit I actually became emotional. All of this was in harmony and if I close my eyes I can still imagine this beautiful Christmas Eve where the whole family is celebarating. The joy. The great memories to come. Christmas as it is to be.
All that from a candle!
