Balsam Fir Perfect for Fall and Winter

It's that time of year when the leaves fall, we light the fireplace, and smuggle up with a candle and a book. Balsam Fir, for my senses, is a mixture of a hint of Christmas trees and a reminder, (for me) of the scent at the top of the ski slopes. This scent has the perfect throw, burns evenly and always clean, and the jars are reusable. Nothing is wasted. I highly recommend this one for those of us desiring to bring a little of nature's fresh scents inside, without gathering the greens from the woods quite yet.

Not great

Kringle candle makes some of the best and most authentic conifer fragrances. However I think Balsam fir falls short. This candle is very harsh and very sharp. Instead of smelling like authentic Balsam trees I get a lot of pine which is a completely different fragrance from Balsam. I also get more eucalyptus than I want making this fragrance rather cloying and unpleasant. If you want and almost Pine-Sol experience you would like this fragrance, if you're looking for that Kringle candle authenticity I would pass.

My Favorite Candles

Kringle candles have been my favorites for years. I can no longer buy them locally so am glad to be able to get them through the website. The Balsam Fir candle is wonderful for Christmas and wintertime. It smells exactly like a pine forest, just beautiful. The Kringle candle jars themselves are beautiful, with beautiful photography.

So soft and delicate. Christmas and winter but not overpowering. Like a cozy winter night under the tree. A classic.
